4 choses essentielles à savoir sur le tissu mesh

4 essential things to know about mesh

You've noticed that some safety shoes are made of mesh and you're wondering what it is. You are right to wonder about the composition of your PPE. Indeed, some materials are more useful and efficient than others. Find out everything there is to know about "mesh" in this article! What is it made of? What are its advantages? What part of the safety sneaker is made of this material? Or how is mesh used?

What is mesh?

Mesh is a type of fabric. It is also called "mesh", "fishnet" or "airy mesh". It has these names because it is composed of synthetic fibers forming large meshes. This characteristic makes it easier for air to pass through the mesh.

Why use this material?

Mesh has many qualities, which makes it essential in many areas. First of all, it favors air circulation because of its structure. Thus, the heat does not have time to settle and the protected part is not overheated, whatever the activity practiced or its duration. This fabric also allows perspiration to escape from the textile. As a result, the shoe or garment does not get wet and you do not risk getting cold.

Mesh is light. A real technological innovation, this material has benefited from improvements over the years, making it increasingly light. This is a significant advantage, especially when you have to wear safety shoes all day long.

Another advantage: mesh is flexible. This makes it an ideal fabric for equipment in which we need to be free to move. This can be sports shoes (parkour, downhill cycling, running...) or safety sneakers for an employee who is often on the move (deliveryman, order picker, waiter...).

Finally, this material is easy to wash, which makes it a complete fabric. Imagine all the obstacles you can overcome with lightweight, flexible and breathable shoes. It would be a shame not to be able to take care of them easily.

What part of the shoe is made of it?

Mesh is used exclusively in the upper of the shoe. The upper is the upper part, the part that hugs the foot from above. You can also say that it is the shoe without the sole. This means that the entire foot is surrounded by this fabric and can therefore benefit from the advantages mentioned above.

What are the different uses of mesh?

Its qualities make mesh a fabric appreciated by many professionals. Manufacturers of sports shoes and safety shoes offer many models made of mesh. It can also be found in clothing, bags and other sports equipment. In addition, some designers, professional or not, choose it because it is easy to work with.

Now that you know why mesh is an ideal fabric for your sports and professional activities, all you have to do is find THE pair of shoes that best suits you (style, colour, shape, size...)!
